U.S. Sen. Bernie Sanders at NHIOPOn Saturday, Sept. 19, U.S. Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) visited the New Hampshire Institute of Politics (NHIOP) for a Greater Manchester Town Meeting.

The line for Sen. Sanders' event at the NHIOP began forming hours before he was set to appear. Upon his arrival, Sen. Sanders briefly addressed the crowd outside before entering the packed auditorium. A very enthusiastic crowd of over 200 Saint Anselm students, faculty, and members of the public listened to the senator speak about his ideas for the future of the country.

During his hour and a half long appearance, Sen. Sanders addressed subjects such as the billionaire class, youth unemployment, paid family leave, and trade policies.

"Think big and not small," he said, as he concluded his remarks. "If we stand together, there is nothing that we cannot accomplish."

Earlier in the day, Sen. Sanders spoke at the annual New Hampshire Democratic convention at the Verizon Wireless Arena and at the opening of his Manchester office.
