Saint Anselm College Hosts NH Science Olympiad

Taking First Place honors in the high school division were Bedford High School, with Nashua North High School in Second Place. Merrimack High School won Third Place.

The division for Middle School was won by Somersworth, followed by Epping.

Saint Anselm produced Science Olympiad with the help of 80 college student volunteers. The event was coordinated by Nicole Eyet, assistant professor of Chemistry at saint Anselm and the New Hampshire State Director for Science Olympiad, with William Ryerson and Elizabeth Greguske, both assistant professors of Biology.

The 22 events of Science Olympiad included Air Trajectory (shooting ping pong balls), Bridge Building and Robot Arms.

As winner of the New Hampshire Science Olympiad, Bedford goes on to National competition on May 20 at the University of Wisconsin-Stout in Menomonie, Wis.
