It was a great weekend to visit the Hilltop June 5-7 as more than 1,500 alumni, friends, and family returned to campus for Reunion 2015.
Alumni represented graduating classes from 1942 to 2014 travelled from as far as Australia, California, Florida, and Washington. Anselmians reunited with old friends, attended mass at the Abbey Church, enjoyed live music at the pub and participated in talks and tours throughout the weekend.
On Saturday, programs included an update to the campus community by Dr. Steven R. DiSalvo, president of the college, tours of the new Living Learning Commons Residence Hall, a barbeque on the new campus green, and a military service tribute to honor those who have served. The 125th Anniversary Celebration, which concluded the college's historic anniversary year, was held that evening and included live entertainment, dancing and a fireworks display.
Paul Casey '70 presented Dr. DiSalvo with a check for $489,368 on behalf of the 2015 Reunion committees and all reunion classes.
In recognition of their 50th reunion, the class of 1965 was inducted into the Order of Golden Anselmians. 62 members of the class returned to the Hilltop for their induction ceremony on Friday evening. The class of 1990 celebrated their silver status, commemorating their 25th reunion.
