Eight students from Saint Anselm College are new members of Pi Delta Phi, the International Honor Society for the French language. The inductees are all from Maine or Massachusetts.

From Maine, the following students were inducted into Pi Delta Phi: Sydni Clark of Augusta, and Jordan Ouelette and Joshua Pepin, both of Cumberland.

Massachusetts students in the honor society include two graduates of Saint Anselm College: Zachary Camenker of Reading and Mary Pat Devine of Oakham, both class of 2016. Junior class members in Pi Delta Phi are Whitey Hammond of Manchester, Jeffrey James of Scituate, and Brad Rocheville of Saugus.

Pi Delta Phi was founded in 1906 at the University of California, Berkeley and nationalized in 1925 with the establishment of the Beta Chapter at the University of Southern California. Society growth doubled with the alliance of America with France during World War II.

Pi Delta Phi has over 370 chapters at public and private colleges and universities in most of the United States.
