FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

MANCHESTER, NH - Saint Anselm College has announced a substantial new student scholarship, effective immediately and applicable to students from select New Hampshire schools who start entering the college in the fall of 2016.

The Bradley Memorial Scholarship, named for the Right Reverend Denis M. Bradley, first Bishop of Manchester (1884-1903) and one of the founders of Saint Anselm College, is available to all students of six private Catholic high schools in New Hampshire who are accepted to the college. No separate scholarship application is required and no criteria are attached to awarding of the scholarship beyond admission to Saint Anselm based on academic and extracurricular achievement and graduation from one of the named Catholic high schools in New Hampshire.

The Bradley Scholarship grants $6,000 of institutional aid to the students for each of a maximum four years they attend Saint Anselm College. The Scholarship is non-need-based; it is awarded automatically to students who graduate from the six eligible Catholic high schools in New Hampshire and who are accepted to Saint Anselm as Freshmen or Transfer students. The six private Catholic high schools are Bishop Brady in Concord, Bishop Guertin of Nashua, Holy Family Academy in Manchester, Mount Royal Academy of Sunapee, Trinity High School in Manchester, and Saint Thomas Aquinas of Dover.

These awards are made in addition to any merit aid earned by the students. The benefit continues throughout the honored students' undergraduate careers providing they remain academically eligible and in good standing. Institutional aid is financed by the college; it is not from endowment.

The first students benefitting from the Bradley Scholarship will be the class of 2020.
