Bloomberg Politics and Saint Anselm Announce Partnership on 2016 Election Coverage
Collaboration Kicks Off Next Week with New Hampshire Poll Conducted by Purple Strategies

Today, Bloomberg Politics and the New Hampshire Institute of Politics (NHIOP) at Saint Anselm College announce a partnership on polls, events and student journalism, as well as a joint commitment to civic activism heading into the state's pivotal presidential primary and 2016 election.

To kick off the partnership, both outlets will release their first joint 2016 New Hampshire poll next week. The poll will be conducted by the bipartisan firm Purple Strategies, which was named one of the most accurate national and swing-state pollsters of 2012 by Fordham University.

As part of the collaboration, Bloomberg Politics will work with over a hundred Saint Anselm student journalists to deliver expansive reporting on the concerns of Granite State voters. Bloomberg Politics and the NHIOP will also co-sponsor town halls and political events in New Hampshire as part of their commitment to engage local groups and institutions in the political process.

Mark Halperin & John Heilemann"The Institute of Politics and Saint Anselm are always at the physical and journalistic center of campaigns in the Granite State," said Bloomberg Managing Editor Mark Halperin, who also serves as a member of the NHIOP’s Public Advisory Board. "We are excited to join forces with Neil Levesque and others at the Institute, including the current group of enthusiastic and politically active students.”

"New Hampshire is famous for engaging in politics both seriously and joyously — and so is the New Hampshire Institute of Politics," added Bloomberg Politics Managing Editor John Heilemann. "With every aspect of this partnership, from staging town hall meetings to collaborating with student journalists, we intend to apply those same qualities to our coverage of the first-in-the-nation primary state."

"The New Hampshire Institute of Politics at Saint Anselm College is extremely excited about working with a world class news organization," said NHIOP Executive Director Neil Levesque. "The partnership with Bloomberg will provide unparalleled opportunities for our students interested in journalism and politics."

This is Bloomberg Politics' second partnership in a key presidential-nomination state. In Iowa, Bloomberg Politics has partnered with the Des Moines Register on the Iowa Poll, joint journalism and political events. These collaborations are part of Bloomberg Politics' sustained investment in presenting a deeper view of, and interaction with the electorate.

Bloomberg Politics debuted on Oct. 6th and leads political coverage across all Bloomberg platforms. The website, BloombergPolitics.com , is a next-generation political news site that seamlessly combines up-to-the-minute news, original video, analysis, commentary, long-form features, polling, interactive graphics and live streams. Bloomberg Politics Managing Editors Mark Halperin and John Heilemann also host a half-hour television show, "With All Due Respect,” that airs at 5pm ET/PT on Bloomberg TV and BloombergPolitics.com.
