The Saint Anselm student theatre group, the Abbey Players present their fall show, Neil Simon's "Rumors" at the Dana Center, Thursday, Nov. 6 - Saturday, Nov. 8 at 7:30 p.m.
"Rumors" is a farcical play of mis-communication as four couples gather for dinner and confusion mounts about the shooting of their host, the deputy mayor of New York. Add a missing wife, a missing cook, a damaged car, whiplash, reoccurring back spasms, and couples who can't remember who told what to whom, and the evening quickly spins into hilarity.
The ensemble cast of 10 includes junior Zachary Camenker, an English and secondary education major, as Lenny Ganz, and senior Susan Watkins, a philosophy major, as Claire Ganz, Lenny's gossiping wife.
The production involves more than 20 Saint Anselm students. The fall show is directed by English professor and Abbey Player Director, Landis K. Magnuson. The Broadway comedy is written by American playwright and screenwriter, Neil Simon.
Tickets are $11 for adults, seniors, children, and New Hampshire college students. For additional information, visit the Dana Center website at www.anselm.edu/dana.
"Rumors" was last performed at the Dana Center in the fall of 2002. See the full list of past productions »
